Dundalk Middle School is nestled in the heart of Dundalk, a community steeped in tradition and history. DMS continues to promote and celebrate rigorous instruction and student achievement. The students work diligently to develop the academic, social, and emotional attributes that will enable them to be successful in college and/or the workplace. Through the school's rigorous and relevant instructional program, students will become life-long learners who will reach their potential as productive citizens in a global economy and multi-cultural society. DMS was the 2014 Clean Green 15 Champions and this year became recertified as a Sustainable Maryland Green School.

Our 6th graders recently took part in the NFL Play60 Campaign.  This campaign aims to get students up and active for at least 60 minutes a day and record their progress throughout the month of October.  Upon completion of the campaign, DMS had to choose an Ambassador for the program.  To us it was simple, our ambassador amassed the most amount of time of physical activity outside of school.  Our ambassador tallied 6,240 minutes of activity during the campaign.  CONGRATULATIONS TO DMS NFL PLAY60 AMBASSADOR, AMANDA HANES!

We are excited to share that Amanda has been chosen to represent DMS at the Baltimore Ravens Game on Thursday, December 12th!  Amanda will be on the field, standing with the Ravens, during the National Anthem prior to kickoff, and will be recognized as one of the area leaders of the PLAY60 Campaign.

DMS is Proud to Announce Two of their Art Students being Honored
Dundalk Middle is very proud to announce that two of their eighth graders were honored at the historic Towson Courthouse for their artwork. Simeon Brooks and Ciara Galloway entered their artwork into Baltimore County’s State’s Attorney’s Anti Drug Poster Contest. Simeon won a second place award, and his poster will be printed on calendars that will be distributed throughout Baltimore County. Ciara’s design was selected to be part of a poster that also will be distributed throughout Baltimore County. Their posters were chosen out of 2,500 posters submitted for the countywide middle school contest. DMS is very proud of them.
