Mission Statement
The mission of our library is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information through resources in a variety of formats; provide opportunities to attain and master skills necessary for effective use of these resources; and promote reading and lifelong learning.

The DMS Library Media Program aspires to empower all students to excel and reach their maximum potential. The library media program adds a dimension of rigor to the curriculum and encourages students to become participatory learners. Through collaboration, the school library media specialist partners with the DMS learning community to maintain a diverse physical and virtual collection of resources that support and enrich learning and literacy to empower students to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, readers, and responsible digital and global citizens.
