Mrs. Gibson:      Good Morning Dundalk Middle School, this is your announcements team bringing you your morning announcements on WDMS news. We’ll be providing announcements every Tuesday and Thursday.

Mrs. Gibson:      Today is Thursday, April 30, 2020 Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and the DMS pledge.

Mrs. Gibson: Please be seated.

Mrs. Gibson: Let’s get a check on the weather. We can expect rain today with a high of 65 degrees. The weekend looks nice with highs in the low 70’s. Winter wasn’t that long ago. This was the view from New Brunswick, Canada on April 22nd this year.

Ms. Rosencrans: Now for the Sports Report – The Ravens acquired 10 new players in this year’s draft. They include middle linebacker Patrick Queen, running back J.K. Dobbins, defensive tackle Justin Madubuike, wide receiver Devin Duvernay, outside linebacker Malik Harrison, offensive tackle Tyre Phillips, guard Ben Bredeson, defensive tackle Broderick Washington Jr., wide receiver James Proche, and safety Geno Stone.

Ms. Rosencrans: Are you feeling bored at this point being home. The National Child Traumatic Stress Network suggests putting on mini plays or story building with your family. Story building is when one person starts the story, and then other family members add to it.

Meah: We wish Saygra Portillo-Membreno happy birthday today.

Meah: Ms. Bullock is putting together a picture presentation for guess which DMS staff member it is from his or her middle school years. Can you guess which We’ll give you the details of how to see the entire presentation when it is finished.

Meah: (Words of Wisdom) Good morning, Dundalk Middle School. This is (name of narrator) with a few words of wisdom. Are you making things happen? Listen to these words: There are three kinds of people in the world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who say ‘What happened?’ So, take a look. Are you in the game, on the sidelines, or asleep under the bleachers? American philosopher William James says: I will act as if what I do makes a difference. And it does! So, let’s have 100 percent participation today. Be in action! With something to think about, this is (name of narrator). Make it a great day . . . or not. The choice is yours.
