Morning Announcements 5/21/20

WDMS Morning News Script

Asmaa: Good Morning Dundalk Middle School, this is your announcements team bringing you your morning announcements on WDMS news. We’ll be providing announcements every Tuesday and Thursday.

Asmaa: Today is Thursday, May 21, 2020.  Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and the DMS pledge.

Mrs. Gibson: Please be seated.

Rocco: Let’s get a check on the weather. It will be cloudy today and tomorrow with highs in the mid-60s.

Rocco: Now for the sports report – NASCAR ran their first race on Sunday, and they did not have any fans at the race. Kevin Harvick won. He did the typical donuts at the end of the race. The interviewer had his microphone attached to a 6-foot bar in order to keep social distancing. Harvick even commented how strange it was for it to be silent at the end of the race. Fans are usually cheering.

Chase: We wish Michael Montoya Portillo and Corey Steele happy birthday today.

Chase: Our jokes for today are What do you call a sleeping bull? … A bulldozer.   How do you fit more pigs on your farm? … Build a sty-scraper

Mrs. Gibson: Mr. Ryan has been busy. He cleared some space behind his house to have a basketball net and a fire pit. Sounds like you are ready for some fun outside this summer, Mr. Ryan.

LizMarie (Words of Wisdom) Good morning, Dundalk Middle School. This is (name of narrator) with a few words of wisdom. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man. But you refuse to hate him.” Try to see something good in everybody you see today. With something to think about, this is (name of narrator). Make it a great day . . . or not. The choice is yours.

LizMarie: See you again on Tuesday.
